Line Run Off on the hook
Shark run off on Sandy Hook today...65lb braid that finally gave out as the drag was tightened...sea robins too on bunker...only three other fisherman out there..

There have been a lot of Cow Nose Rays around... We see them swimming up close to the surface every time we go out...

??? Last year we caught a bunch of cow nose rays, 1 at best guess 50llbs. They are deceptively heavy for their size. They usually run vertical for a bit, then dive, sharks will run vertical as long as it can.The 50lber I caught took me around the boat like 10 times. Could be a ray, or shark. Guess your best.

Should have used the boat to make up line and see what was at the end. Ray? Shark? Black Drum? Sturgeon? A sunken 5 gallon bucket in the tidal current? LOL
We will never know now.
