Decided 8:30 last night to hit the Gambler today for flat fish. Got down @ 6:45 to find a 1/2 filled lot. left with a railed boat. Capt. Todd took us South 2+/- miles out & very slow drift and very slow pick of designated specie--mostly shorts--7-8 legals and a few bass of which I got one.
On the PM trip, Todd took us almost to the "Hook" 3-4 mls out. nicer drift. more action but with shorts and only 2-3 legals. Got my bass limit as did others, couple ling boated, bigger skates and several foul-hooked sea robinettes, some baby Bass. Had enough peps to just fish the port side.
As always,mates were great & stayed a bit later on both trips---always trying!!!!! 4 shorts I had were fat & 1/4" or less of being keepers--oh,well.....
