Hit the river today from 11-330. Casted jointed bombers and storm shads, nobody else on the river at the time. Hooked 2 fish today on the storm shad chartruese. 1st fish was hooked down from the falls where the big tree is in the water, either a big smallie or a hybrid, I was messing with my drag so i did not land this fish but it was big. It was not a striper, stripers do not jump. Caught a glimpse of the fishes tail, it was dark, then moved on. 2nd fish hooked right up against the falls, storm shad again, I didn't realize the fish was hooked until it started running toward the falls like a freight train, STRIPER! Anyway fish gone could've been a good one. After this post is up ill be busy putting treble trailer hooks on my storm shads, those short strikers won't stand a chance now. LOOK OUT FISH!!! 3rd fish hooked on a white and black bomber, good fish, this ones not getting away not with all the treble hooks he has stuck in his face. BOOOM, KEEPER WALLEYE, 24-26 INCHES, 5 OR SO POUNDS!!!! Heres a pic of the one that didn't get away. TIGHT LINES!!! FASTEDDIE, Proud member of the 5lb RARITAN RIVER WALLEYE RELEASE CLUB!!!
