Thumbs up Re: New Gulp color

Has anyone tried a killie squid combo lately, I heard that works well.
Yes, captain Blackie Walsh, fond memory as a child. The boat was rocking heavily, I sat down in the cabin and wasn't feeling well. The old crusty mate with 2 teeth sits down beside me and starts chomping down raw smelt !!
The memories. Dad always caught lots of fluke and large weakfish most trips.

Did these fish evolve to eat more plastic and rubber as man has evolved to use more plastic and rubber as bait ?
It’s hard to argue the quality of fish being caught on jigging fluke compared to traditional bait rigs ( no comparison) you can say the same for every fish species like trolling mojos on braided line now ..instead of letting a mile of wire line out for bunker spoons... or a light jig with crab on a 30/30 braid mono combo for blackfish compared to a 60 lb mono and 10 oz sinker and pool stick rod trying to get the blackfish out of the wreck... fishing has evolved for the better and changes everyday.... yes you will catch on the 40 year ago setup but no comparison to what is being used today.

Sure .all the guys crying there are no keeper fluke around are fishing that way .

The whole time guys bucktailing are throwing back 20" fish because we are catching better quality fish .

Day in day out a good bucktailer will outfish a bait dragger 5/1

I have to agree and 40 or so years ago (1978) I was using Loran and compass to navigate and a had flash fish finder that looked like a wall clock. It would be foolish to ignore innovation for the sake of nostalgia but hey, to each his own.
