Gambler Red Decks Saturday nite

The Gambler headed out to where we had caught them Friday night . We saw and caught squid right away but the Blues were no shows . Capt. Mike made a move inshore and read a pile before we got there . Since there was very little current/wind we went on the drift . We only threw one ladel of chum and the Blues charged the boat from the dark . They were all around the boat with some so close you could free gaff them . Every bait in the water was attacked by the Demon Hoard . For the next hour it was all out Bedlum ! Take a # time for the mates as there always seemed to be 3 or 4 hanging all the time . A lot of the customers stopped because they were too tired to continue . Four hands cut all the way to the inlet and the pool fish was between 12 and 14 lbs . This was the best bite that I have seen at night in a couple of Seasons . I hope that it holds up .

Have not seen the Gambler out much lately...good to see they had a good evening on the water! I'll be heading out with them soon.
