BOUNTY HUNTER - Blues To 18 lbs. + 34Lb. Striper, 7/31
Capt. Paul had The Sean Gearty charter on board the Bounty Hunter for a day of Bluefishing. Filling out Sean's charter were Richard, Nathan, Ian, Cole, and Alex. After a short search Paul got on some good Bluefish reads. Jigging was not on the Bluefish Menu today neither was fresh bait. So, It did not take long to put out the Trolling gear. That was the ticket as the BIG Blues jumped on everything that was put out. The Blues were BIG and hungry. We had a good bite going for quite a while as the charter boxed 15 big Blues the largest weighing in at 18 lbs. while releasing over 20 more. In the mix the charter got a surprise bonus as a big Striped Bass inhaled a lure and after being put on the scale weighed in at 34lbs. It was a great day to be on the water with a good crew. Everyone went home with a bag of Fillets and sore arms. Check the Open Boat Forum for our next scheduled August Open Boat Fluke trips.

Look at the size of those blues! No Pee Wees here !!!! And a big striper at the end of July ???!!!!!
