Default Niners Shad Rig with a Mojo

I've fished wire all my life with my umbrella, shad rigs, and spoons. Fishing braid this spring with the mojos and stretch plugs and doing well. One question, will a 6 oz mojo as a trailer on a niners shad rig on braid swim the same way and depth as using a 6 oz drail in front of the shad rig? Haven't pulled a niners rig on braid yet but my set ups are well equipped for the weight of the drail and shad rig with 65 lb braid and solid backbones on the rods.

Thanks in advance

Default Re: Niners Shad Rig with a Mojo

At equal weight the mojo will have more drag than the drail so it should fish higher. I assume if you are going to use the mojo you will be using a three way swivel and I would expect the rig to track above the mojo. I don't expect it would swim differently but I've never done it so hopefully someone who has will reply. I wish I read more about using braid before I spent 900 on wire combos which have no other use.
