Dexter is OK but Victorinox knives are much better IMO.

I fish up in MA & NH a lot and as you know Dexter factory is right up there in MA and promoted on a lot of the fleets and commercial boats. Many captains I fish with have switched to Victorinox knives simply because they have better edge retention and outlast Dexters.

Also great quality knife to have but with a shorter blade made by Morakniv : https://morakniv.se/en/product/fishi...rt-fillet-155/

It would be the Rapala NK03039-BRK Fish N Fillet. I bought one for myself and another as a gift and we both love it. I'm now using it for almost everything. You will NOT be disappointed with this knife.

Sharpen a carbon DEXTER on a work sharp .
You won’t consider using any other knife .
The edge lasts weeks between sharpening instead of a few fish like when using a steel or Accusharp .
