Here is my definition of a killie car since I started it.
It is a rectangular wooden box with screening to allow the water to pass through. Most of the ones I have had are 12 to 18 inches wide and 24 to 30 inches long. On the top side is a large hinged door to add killies or to transfer to a smaller container for fishing. They usually have two ropes (one for each end) that can be tied to a boat or piling so it can ride the tides.

Hey June, Thanks for that good explanation. I have one that I built with my Dad in the 1950's We made several over the years, mostly by him, and a lot of nail bending by me. This one is painted grey. I think I''ll donate it to my club, (JCSA) before no one remembers what it is........especially me. Thank you. Papa
