Default transducer question

Does anybody know if you are supposed to paint the structure scan transducer with anti fouling paint ?

You can and should paint the ducer body and mount with regular bottom paint. However, for the flat bottom the ducer you will need paint designed for that specific purpose. You should be able to find in just about any marine store. Just ask for Transducer Paint.

Thanks Gerry. Just got more clarification.
I was told to sand the transducers with a fine grit sandpaper.(I used 800 ).
Clean with mineral spirits.
Paint with water based anti-fouling transducer paint.
Wait 4 hrs. and apply a second coat.
FINALLY I CAN GO FISHING.
