Default Back on the water.

After a 4 year absence from freshwater fishing I have rebuilt my jonboat and took it on its shakedown cruise to Lake Lefferts. My brother(Jerseydix) boated 1 pickeral on a live shiner while I stuck with lures and took the skunk after missing a few strikes. Next trip will be better. Boat ran well but a new deep cycle battery is needed for the transom motor since it lost power after this 3hr trip. Still need to wire boat for solo trips and a few cosmetic issues and will be ready to fish all the local lakes I frequented before my break. With gas approaching $4 my saltwater boat may see less use.
