Unhappy So Many Jigs, so few fluke......

Thinking I better slow up making all these bucktails for this year......at least they'll be cheaper to use/lose than the SPROS......considering that I might have to convert to making the Tuna/Striper jigs......

Thanks Kevin, really starting to get the hang of using the glow coat with the colors and over the white to get the right balance. Duplicated the "cut throat" look on a few with the flour. pink that came out pretty good. Waiting for a couple more colors of paint to arrive to do some other creative creations....practice makes perfect.

Mike,

try jigging above the bottom more; less contact hitting the bottom. i think you'll lose less and catch more fish. i understand you need to "feel" the bottom to know you're close to it but fluke come FAR off the bottom to hit a jig and you'll spend more time fishing and less time re-tying.

Mike, absolutely right since many of the fish are being caught on the teasers 14-16" up the leader that aren't on the bottom when they hit. I'm going for the color options at this point to have whatever is "hot" for that specific day .......
