Default Anchor light problem..

Hey guys,
The light mount atop of my window on my Grady Seafarer is broken and I've repaired/epoxied it a few times. It just keeps coming off. The light does not work either at the moment, probably the wiring inside of the mount is toast.
It's the type of light mast that bends near where it goes into the mount, not at the light. (Like some of the Perko models).

My question is, does anyone know where I can get a new mount? Or can I install a new 48" base and mast near the front (or rear) and will that be acceptable.

The boat has a bimini on it.

I checked the Greatgrady forums and had no luck, either that I or missed something.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sam

what size boat? from what i know and remember is that over a certain length, the light needs to be on the highest possible mount and visible 365 degrees. so i would replace the one you have with another mount.

someone will correct me as i might be wrong, if i am i apologize, but thats what i know.

It's a '85 Seafarer 226. It looks like replacing the mount is gonna be a pain, if I can even get a Grady mount for it. I was hoping a tall light mast would work, but I think the bimini will block it somewhat. I guess I'm gonna have to find a mount or have one made.

Is it a stick mount? where does it mount? to your console?

Thumbs up Re: Anchor light problem..

A friend on another forum found the Perko mount here:

I'm good to go, it's exactly what I was looking for.
