Here we go boys on the eve of yet another year!

Some quick observations......

Bolts and Leafs will be tough to beast in the East
CANT WAIT to see the Def of Vlasic Burns and Karlsson out west
Sens will be frigging aweful
Coyotes take a big step forward
WTF is the Grizzy thing in Philly???
Let’s see how the NCAA Boston guy does in NYC
HABS?? Oofffaaa that could be ugly....:p
Had a ball watching the Caps party this summer.....now for the hangover

Playoff baseball, football, the changing of the leaves, fall fishing, and gosh darn it, HOCKEY TIME!!!! Lots of luck to whoever's sweater you wear. Except, of course, my wife's Devils and all of my in-laws' Rangers :p They can keep "rebuilding".

Well... I bitched last season to get rid of the coaching staff and they obliged... now let's see if a fresh new coach and 1/2 a new team can start making a difference.... I can only hope!!! sooo glad to start watching games again!!

It’s hockey time! Nothing better than seeing Ovie and the Caps leading 5-0 after 28 minutes. They look like they’re still in Stanley Cup form. It got so bad that the B’s took out Tukka!

My “improved attitude” Habs minus Pacioretty and Galchenyuk are tied up in Toronto. Hopefully, the Price can be right and steal a few games this season.

Thankfully had the Yanks on the screen to soften the blow of that debacle.

I'm stoked for first Ranger game tonight.... can't wait to see what the "new" team can do.... no judgement until after 1st 10 games hahahahaha!! ;)

LGR and hope Hank is better than the pre-season but our speed and talent up front look promising.

Duff, Marchand beating on Lars Eller reminded me when Dave Schultz beat on Dale Rolphe. (almost LOL) Guess he finally understands the definition of a good "licking"

Listening to the late John Amirante is so much better than having to hear Rene Rancourt and his lame fist-bump at TD Garden. Now if Montreal could only make the playoffs, you’d see the amazing Ginette Reno sing “O Canada”.

over all i think the rangers played a good game.hank had 30 saves but i still
think he could have played better early.still great to see the rangers playing again

Loved the John Amirante tribute last night... they can play that before each game all season..

Pleasantly surprised how well the new Rangers played against a top Pred team... Haven't seen all that energy in last couple of years.... and also loved how well new coach interacts with team after every shift and actually COACHES!!! My god... our last "coach" :rolleyes: showed no emotion throughout every game and expected his players to be trolls and not show emotions or physically retaliate for anything :mad: He looked like he was more interested in being a GQ model :D

Anyway, I know this team will get better after a bunch of games getting used to each other and a whole new system.... I'm excited already for the weekend games!!!

OUCH!!! hard loss to swallow last night in Carolina :mad: Total D breakdown after doing so much better 1st 2 games... Georgiev let in a couple of bad ones too but he had absolutely no help .... and maybe add some shooting target practice in this week ..... getting plenty of shots but not going in, and I'm having more faith in some of the kid's then I do with some of the "veterans" at this point :rolleyes:

Still giving them the first 10 games to straighten things out before I really rip em' hahahahahaha

Since we have no headline stars anymore, no captain, new coach to NHL, lots of young kids....I'm giving them a little time to get things straightened out :rolleyes:

Right now I'm seeing Buchnevich, Vesey, Pionk, Fast, DeAngelo, Skjei, Lettieri step up their games nicely... BUT on the down side and so far disappointing to say the least have been Shattenkirk, Zuccarello, Zibanejad, Spooner and ESPECIALLY Namestnikov!!! And even Lundqvist is still a good goalie, but not what he was 5-6 yrs ago....

They only have one way to go at this time, so I'm being patient Bill :D

YES!!! Rangers get a badly needed win last night against a tough SJ team, which made it even better..... still need to work on D, but saw some pretty passing and guys stepping up to make it happen.... Howden becoming a fan favorite with lot's of skill..... so happy to see Quinn sit out Shatty for not enough steady effort... AV would've let him play and sat out one of the kids instead :rolleyes:.... and I really thought he would've sat Namestnikov from his lack of effort last game, but he did a 180 and was speedy gonzales all night long.

Lot's of learning still to come, but felt good to get the 2 pts ..... :D

WINNERS!!!!!! the Rangers looked and played well last night.was really impressed
with the way they stuck up for one another.hell,even Stahl was in their face.
they were better about shooting the puck and not passing but that still needs a little work.over all very happy with what i saw.LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Got that right Split. Non call on Hayes mugging and 50/50 call against us leading to Zucc falling asleep on McDavid was killer. Well played game otherwise and really liking Howden!

Lovin' Howden too Dave!! a lot of potential from him... also like Pionk ...Quinn's benching of Shatty worked and was happy to see him get the SO Winner....No playing favorites like AV would and only sit the kids... you don't give 100%, you sit!! We really can use a soft handed finisher.... can we get Hagelin back? :rolleyes: A big confidence booster would be beating the Caps tonight and we'd be right back up in the standings....

Still need to get more from Spooner, Namestnikov and Chytil

i thought they played very good in the 1st,they seemed to really have that fire that you need to win.the 2nd and 3rd were good but they went into that defensive

mode when they should have kept pressing them{just my 2$}.love that they are shooting the puck more also.all and all a good game to win and watch.

another hard fought game.looked like the were a little perplexed in the 2nd but i thought the 1st and 3rd were good.Hank has to tighten up a little on the rebounds.all in all a good game for the Rangers considering what they were up
against.

So close each game but the guys we're counting on just aren't coming through with that big goal... and theyre getting the chances but just not able to convert!! .... agree with BD, they played well most of the game and you'd think by now hank would know Ovie shoots from practically the same spot EVERY TIME and would be able to stop em' but I guess not :rolleyes:

Still disappointed in the same guys that we traded for and are not producing at all :(

I must admit that I’m enjoying the first two weeks of the season. Last night Gallagher wins the game with 10 seconds left against the Blues! A much better start for Montreal than last year. It’s a long year though...

Another game..... same story... a zillion SOG that don't go in...make mistakes and get scored on cause Lundqvist is not making the much needed saves... every unknown goalie becomes HOT when they play at the Garden... guys we were counting on just not playing up to expectations.... frustration going up and confidence going down :(

Not going to be enough room soon for all the "Healthy Scratches" !!!!

Is my first 10 game leeway for criticizing over yet?? :D

Hope this road trip doesn't turn into the "TRIP FROM HELL" !!!! :mad:

It was like sticking a pin in a balloon and started to go crazy all over the place and then just fell on the floor with no more life!!!

I love coach Quinn... he said he needs to change each guys game and doesn't matter if they've played 10 yrs already or a rookie.... he is shaping them into a winning attitude..... it's going to happen, a work in progress.....

Georgiev will be in net tonight and hopefully will get a solid win before flying off for their West Coast road trip

i am not going to say i was not worried when florida scored first.i am going to say that the rangers did not give up and played the type of good hockey they are capable of playing.they are young and excited and still make those rookie mistakes{to many men on...really} but i think that will change with time.

A Nice change of pace last night and coming out with a solid win :D

Nice to see Zuc going 2 goals on 2 shots and that top line meshing well together.. hopefully can keep it up ;) The same few guys scoring every game... the rest of the lines need to step it up already...

And let Georgiev start playing more games because he is the future in that net... I have more confidence with him in there ....

Now off to the West!!!!

i think the rangers have to start looking for d-men who can clear the front of the net.poor Hank{who i feel played a good game} looked like he were throwing a block party every time they came into our zone.
