daiwa braid for Stellwagen cod

Just returned from cod fishing out of Green Harbor Mass on a non sponsor.I had my Canyon hs18 spooled up with 70lb daiwa samurai braid and since i have never used this braid before i was a little skepical about its very thin diameter.Started fishing bait on the bottom in 200 feet of water at 6am and had the boat limited out by 830am.This line really impressed me because while everyone else was using 20oz to hold bottom i needed only 16ozs to do the same job.Swinging cod over the side was no problem at all.You didnt even hear the line going through the guides like i do with other brands.This 70lb line is the diameter of 14lb test and never once had it wrap around the tip.Very impressed.

I used the same braid for a deep drop Tile trip and was holding with a lot less lead then anglers around me. A bit more expensive but is definitely worth it.
