Today I had my sons 13th birthday party aboard the monger. To start with the slow bassin as of late we were undecided as to whether or not to start off lingin then go for the noon bite of bass or make it a solid day of bass.
We started the day off by getting bait, and decided to live line for a lil bit to see if there were any bass around. Within minutes my friend Steve hooks up but loses a nice size bass by the boat. Then minutes later The BIRTHDAY BOY Striper Nick hooks up and lands a 23 lb bass. Well by now its obvious its a bass trip.
Capt Jerry makes his wiggles with the boat and at times it was 2,3 even 4 on at a clip. Then it happened, long time family friend Tim and Striper Nick both hook simultaneously and Tim lands the prize fish a 36 lber his personal best. A minute later Striper Nick lands his fish a 48 lb BIRTHDAY BASS his personal best. Even pops had his personal best with a 30 lber.
Well needless to say Easy limits on the monger and plenty of catch and release.

Both Jerry and John worked there arses off and made my sons 13th birthday one to always remember.:D
